Preview: Tour du Rwanda UCI 2.2
We have landet two days ago. It’s a trip to a different world again. A country full of vegetation and people. We are in Kigali, Rwanda, 1600 meters over sea level, cloudy sky and around 25 degrees. A raising country in the heart of Africa. You can see tons of cottages all over the hilly topography. The people here seems to be friendly and prying, they speak mostly a local speech and french, the kids and students also english.
Rwanda will represent the annual Tour of Rwanda these days. It starts with the tomorrows Prolog about 3.5K at downtown Kigali. The following stages will bring us around the small country while we are gong to hit Kigali serval times again. The tour is split into a prolog and 7 stages. 16 teams from Africa, Europa and America are on the start list. This tour could be a tough one, a lot of altitude is waiting for the riders.
I feel good and ready to take this challenge and adventure. I want to feel weariness after each stage to improve my shape for the second half of the cyclocross season.
The photo-galerie below shows you some impressions of my journey here in Rwanda.
